The Central Internet Security and Informatization Commission (Chinese: 中央网络安全和信息化委员会), formerly known as the Central Leading Group for Internet Security and Informatization (Chinese: 中央网络安全和信息化领导小组) is a policy formulation and implementation body set up under the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in 2014 for the purpose of managing internet-related issues. It not only functions for internet security concerns and broad jurisdiction over policies on internet censorship but also provides statistic reports on the development of the internet in China, the internet industries, online media, etc., which are important resources in analyzing citizen journalism and other internet-related affairs in China.
